Research and Postgraduate Studies Committee

Purpose: Facilitates excellence in research by creating opportunities and providing support where required. The committee promotes the consolidation and expansion of research across all professions in the School at national and international levels. It does this through developing and monitoring research policy and procedures at a school level, keeping both staff and research higher degree students informed of change/innovations, encouraging applications for competitive research grants, promoting collaboration in research, reviewing performance indicators for research productivity, supporting and facilitating the educational experience of research higher degree students and working to increase postgraduate student enrolment. This group meets monthly.

Teaching and Learning Committee

Purpose: Ensures that the School follows ‘best practice’ in the teaching of courses and in the structure of programs that it offers. The Committee initiates and monitors change, and ensures that the School adheres to university policies, procedures and rules. The Committee meets approximately every six weeks throughout the year. It includes representatives from all professions within the School – Heads of Profession, Program Coordinators, a postgraduate and undergraduate student representative and the School Manager.

Occupational Health and Safety Committee

Purpose: To provide a forum for staff to identify and resolve health and safety problems, and to develop and monitor safe systems and procedures in the School. The committee addresses staff views on health and safety matters, and reviews and implements health and safety recommendations from the Faculty and University. This group meets every three months.

Clinical Education Strategic Working Group
