Sports Physiotherapy Master's Conference 2022
Join Master of Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy students, educators, and keynote speaker Lynn Snyder-Mackler for the Sports Physiotherapy Master's Conference at 7.45am Saturday 29 October 2022 (AEST).
With current students discussing their research topics, and Professor Lynn Snyder-Mackler's presentation Busting myths about ACL injuries and return to sport, this year's conference will be relevant for the entire sports physiotherapy community.
Keynote speaker
Keynote speaker: Professor Lynn Snyder-Mackler, PT, ATC, ScD, FAPTA
Title: Busting myths about ACL injuries and return to sport.
Dr. Snyder-Mackler is an award winning, interntionally recognised sports and orthopaedics physical therapy clinician researcher in the management of athletic ACL injuries. She maintains an active Sports Physical Theapy practice at the University of Delaware, as a Board Certified Sports Physical Therapist of over 40 years. She consults to collegiate, amateur and professional teams and has served as Head Athletic Trainer at the Atlanta Olympic Games.
Lynn has authored over 300 research publications in knee reabilitation and neuromuscular electircal stimulation, and regularly speaks at national and international conferences. Her research has won several major awards helping patients and practitioners in answering critical questions in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation – including a prestigious NIH MERIT Award (2013).
She has won several awards from the American Physical Therapy Association, including that Association's highest honor – the Mary McMillan lecturer (2015).
