Ailsa Munro Physiotherapy Scholarship

The scholarship was established in 2011 and is maintained by the income of a bequest from Ailsa Munro, a greatly respected, retired physiotherapist, who graduated with the first cohort of students from the physiotherapy program at The University of Queensland in 1941.

Value: $6,000 per scholarship. 4 scholarships available per year.

Eligibility: Domestic students in year 3, or higher, of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) or year 2 of the Master of Physiotherapy Studies program.

Application: Open and closing dates will be communicated to relevant students in February.

Selection: A selection committee will award the scholarship based on evidence of financial need, academic merit, strength of interest, and personal qualities.

Australian Hearing Masters of Audiology Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Scholarship

The Australian Hearing Masters of Audiology Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship has been established to invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university graduates to consider following a career pathway into Audiology.

Value: $15,000 over the two-year period of study, including a remote Australian Hearing outreach trip.

Eligibility: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and hold an unconditional offer of admission for the Masters of Audiology Studies program. Once enrolled, continue to study on a full-time basis.

Application: Once the program application closing date has passed, and all applications for admission have been reviewed and offers of admission made, the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences will automatically identify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants for consideration of this scholarship.

Selection: The scholarship is awarded to the eligible student showing the greatest merit as demonstrated by academic achievement in previous tertiary studies.
