Enhancing Behavioural Support for Children with Hearing Loss: A Family-Centred Approach
Researchers from The University of Queensland are exploring the unique behavioural issues professionals and caregivers of children with permanent hearing loss face.
This project is currently in the first phase of a series of studies aiming to develop more tailored support to address behaviour in young children who wear hearing devices.
We are now recruiting participants for the first phase of this project, seeking to gather and understand the experiences of families. Our goal is to explore the nuances of managing behaviour, along with identifying barriers and facilitators to providing and accessing support for these challenges.
What's involved?
Participation in this study involves completing a 1-hour online, individual interview with a researcher. Interviews will focus on discussing everyday joys and challenges of raising a child with hearing loss.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the Caregiver registration.
If you would like to know more about this project, please register your details via the general enquiries form and a member of the research team will be in touch.
