9am | Keynote presentation: Dr Kevin Sims Title: Lumbar bone stress injury: Taking the time Description: Lumbar bone stress injury is a common injury in active adolescent and young adult sports people. Effective management relies on an early diagnosis and a rehabilitation that keeps the person active but also allows the bone to heal. Equally important is an understanding of the risk factors for these injuries to prevent recurrences and to potentially reduce the initial incidence in vulnerable populations. | |
