Sufferers of strokes, brain injuries and brain cancers will benefit from new research by The University of Queensland which has revealed a more effective therapy for language disorders.
It could be a truck driver with a bad back or a remote-area child struggling to speak or read. It could be a grandmother suffering from Parkinson’s disease or a sports competitor with a debilitating injury.
University of Queensland-led research into solutions for musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain and osteoarthritis has attracted more than $8 million from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
