The topic of this year’s conference was ‘Sustainability for the future’, with a program focused on the adaptations seen in research, practice, and teaching to sustain and grow allied health throughout 2020.

World-class research completed by PhD students and research groups from within the School was presented across six main research themes:

  • Musculoskeletal
  • Rehabilitation
  • Communication
  • Paediatrics
  • Telerehabilitation
  • Professional Education

Event organiser and conference chair, Ms Romany Martin, said the conference was delivered in a different format to previous years and was a great success.

“This year’s conference included both virtual and face-to-face sessions, and was live-streamed from start to finish to allow for interstate and international participants to attend,” she explained.

“There were 66 research presentations, in addition to key note speakers and a lively expert panel lead by Professor David Copland.

“We had 100 attendees, half online and half in person, with great student, staff, and external guest representation.

“A huge thank you to all those who contributed on the day!”
