Researcher biography

Amanda works as a Research Fellow in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She holds a conjoint appointment between the University of Queensland and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Amanda's research interests focus on improving patient care in lymphoedema and managing the side effects of cancer. Amanda has worked as a clinician developing skills in these key areas and gaining valuable insights into the practical operation of health facilities and patient interactions. Amanda now conducts research into these key focus areas aiming to improve understand of and care delivery for these conditions. As a consequence of her ongoing affiliation with the tertiary hospital sector, Amanda also engages in research into Occupational Therapy within the acute and rehabilitation streams of hospital care.
