Wayne Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Audiology at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The University of Queensland (UQ). He holds a BSc(Hons) in auditory physiology and a Post-graduate Diploma and a PhD in audiology. Wayne's current research interests include auditory processing disorder (APD) and the signal processing of auditory evoked potentials. He has published 50 papers in refereed scientific journals, 8 book chapters and 3 patents; given over 275 presentations at scientific conferences (including 8 key-note addresses) and professional and community meetings; and has secured over 20 competitive research grants totalling more than AUD$1.9 million. Wayne co-chaired the APD Task Force formed by the Health Professions Council of South Africa from 1999 to 2001, and continues to lead APD discussion groups in Australia today.
